Brooklyn trio The Depreciation Guild are set to tour the UK - but eagle eyed fans may just spot a familiar member or two.

Brooklyn's music scene is producing the goods right now. Sure, purists may claim that the gentrification of Williamsburg has led to may innovative types leaving the area but that hasn't stopped the borough from producing a flood of great groups.

The next great thing to emerge from Brooklyn are The Depreciation Guild. A trio, the group manage to produce a fuzzed out mix of 60s garage pop and 8-bit music.

With just drums, guitar and a Gameboy the trio make a hell of a racket. Cult heroes in the United States, The Depreciation Guild's debut album 'In Her Gentle Jaws' was released as a free download and found its way into 90,000 homes.

The backdrop of pounding drums and feedback drenched guitars is easy enough to explain, but The Depreciation Guild's interest in chiptune is a little more bewildering. Using some imagination and a blowtorch singer Kurt Feldman was able to turn his Gameboy into a potent musical weapon.

Now snapped up by Kanine Records, 'In Her Gentle Jaws' is set to get a proper release in February 2010. The Depreciation Guild have even decided to venture outside of Brooklyn, confirming their first ever British shows.

Teaming up with The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, certain band members will be busy - Kurt Feldman appears in both line ups.

The Depreciation Guild are due to play the following dates:

November

24 London White Heat

25 London Old Blue Last

26 London Wilmington Arms

27 London ICA

30 Bristol Thekla (with Pains...)

December
