Lovebox Weekender Expands In 2010

London's Lovebox Weekender is set to return with a bigger than ever event in 2010.

Founded by the boffins behind dance giants Groove Armada, Lovebox Weekender is one of Britain's wildest parties. Held in historic Victoria Park, the festival becomes a sanctuary for the hustle and bustle of the city.

Lovebox was an enormous success this year, with 80s pop wonders Duran Duran coming out of retirement to headline the event. Joining Simon Le Bon & Co. on the bill were Friendly Fires, Ladyhawke, Simian Mobile Disco and much more.

Next summer Lovebox Weekender is set to return, with more fun planned than ever before. Expanding into Friday night the three day event will bring together a host of stars for the party to end them all.

Already confirmed as a headliner is chart slaying star Dizzee Rascal. The grime star turned electro-rap pin up boy has had a massive 2009, scorching hits such as 'Bonkers' onto the minds of festival punters everywhere.

The hip hop don is set to headline Lovebox Weekender in 2010, with the loveable rogue saying: "I’m really looking forward to headlining such a wicked event in the area where I grew up."

A hometown show for the East London boy, Dizzee Rascal is set to be joined by bass wobbling production team Chase & Status. One of the biggest names in the dance world the duo's take on the legacy of drum and bass has seen them do production work for none other than Rihanna.

With new stages and a host of other surprises still to be announced Lovebox Weekender 2010 looks to be the finest event yet.

Lovebox Weekender is set to take place between July 16th - 18th.
